Journeying Sticks

Join us for a day of magic, meditation and expression through creativity to deepen your connection with yourself and the earth. This is based on the ancient traditions of journey sticks.

The day is a time for stillness, inner contemplation and outward creativity. 

Based on the ancient practice of journey sticks with our unique flavour.

Journey sticks have been a part of many indigenous cultures. The idea of a member of the tribe going out on a journey and taking tokens of their experience and attaching it to the stick, a small rock reminding of the river they crossed, flowers from a meadow they rested in, a feather to remind them of the desire to run home etc. They would then return home and use the stick to sit around the fire sharing their adventures, realisations, aha moments, moments of courage and so on. 

Originally we started using this idea to document our 'unicorn days' - unplanned spontaneous days of adventure . Taking a stick found on the day and then working on it with the energy and memory of the experience. Using paints, carving and adornment we represented the codes, memories and emotions.

We took such huge amounts of pleasure in this and as we crafted more of the layers we were working with in both our inner and outer worlds manifested. started to recognise the wisdom of the energy from the stick / tree. Allowing that to resonate and guide our inner explorations from this place, this beautiful magical offering was birthed .

We take you on a meditation journey of inner connection supporting you to access your inner worlds, wounds, strengths, beliefs ( both limiting and real ).

Then using the imagery, energy, ideas that have come through we invite you to create your own journeying stick. 

At the end of the day we have another mediation to integrate all that has been felt, learnt and experienced. 

We offer regular dates throughout the year for you to book.

Or you can organise your own  group (up to 5) and we can agree a date. 

Times 10am - 3pm ( ish we do sometimes run over a bit)*

The day includes 

• all the materials needed although you can bring along your own

Cancellation policy. if cancelled at least 24 hours before we will refund ......

If cancelled on the day for unforeseen circumstances then we will move your booking to the next available date that suits you.
